The movie “Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days” starring FANTASTICS’ Yagi Yusei will be released nationwide on November 15th.
Information about the theme song for this film was released during the live performance of “FANTASTICS LIVE TOUR 2024 “INTERSTELLATIC FANTASTIC” -THE FINAL-” held on July 14th.
The song that was chosen was “Yellow Yellow,” a new song written by FANTASTICS.
Additionally, a special video featuring excerpts from the song and footage from the film has also been released.
The theme song expresses the importance and wonderfulness of noticing the happiness and brilliance of small moments in our daily lives and living positively, making our days “ordinary yet special”. With the two singers’ expressive vocals and a colorful, happy chorus performed by the performers, the song is a refreshing, pop number that you’ll find yourself humming along to, featuring gorgeous brass that evokes excitement and joy, and impressive piano that gives the feeling of light footsteps.
Yagi, who is the main star and vocalist of FANTASTICS, revealed his impression when he first heard the song, saying, “When I heard the demo, I felt it was a very happy and sparkling song.” He went on to explain what he kept in mind during recording, saying, “While it has a sparkling feel, the rap parts and the closing parts are sung with a firm tone, so I was conscious of recording it to give off a cool and stylish impression.”
Regarding the lyrics, he revealed the message behind the song, saying, “Nothing that is taken for granted is necessarily so, and everything happens inevitably. And the lyrics express the idea that even on an ordinary, everyday day, as long as you are there, then that is what makes me happy.”
Finally, regarding the fact that the song of the group she belongs to has become the theme song of the movie she is starring in, she commented, “It was one of my goals in my career to perform the theme song for the movie I star in, so I am very honored to have been able to make it happen. It has become a memorial song for me, as I remember the movie every time I sing it and hear it!” She expressed her joy at achieving her goal, and also commented that this song has become an important one for her. FANTASTICS will be performing the theme song for the movie “Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days” in which I am starring.
When I first heard the demo, I felt it was a very happy and sparkling song. Although it has a sparkling feel, the rap and closing parts are tightly sung, so I was conscious of recording it to give it a cool and stylish impression.The lyrics express the idea that things that are taken for granted are not so obvious, that everything happens inevitably, and that even if your days are ordinary, as long as you are there, then that is what makes you happy.
There are parts that feature the voices of all the FANTASTICS members, so that’s another thing I like about it!
Performing the theme song for a movie in which I starred was one of my goals in my career, so I am very honored to have been able to make this happen.
For me too, it has become a memorable song that reminds me of the work every time I sing it and hear it!
