Yumi Matsutoya uses her own photo on the jacket of her charity single

It has been revealed that Yumi Matsutoya will use a photo taken by Yumin herself on the jacket of her charity single “acacia / Come Spring (Nina Kraviz Remix)” which will be released on May 29th.

The charity single “acacia / Come spring, come (Nina Kraviz Remix)” is a single released with the purpose of donating the proceeds to Ishikawa Prefecture as a relief fund for the 2020 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.

“Acacia” is a song from Yumin’s 31st original album “acacia” released in 2001. Yumin created this song after being moved by the scenery of the acacia trees that bloom in Uchinada Town, Kahoku District, Ishikawa Prefecture.

The photo taken on the smartphone on the jacket was taken of Tarumi Falls in Oku-Noto when he was appointed as a tourism producer for Ishikawa Prefecture in 2015 and toured Noto in August of the same year. Also known as “Fukiage no Taki”, it is said to be a rare waterfall in Japan, with a white thread-like waterfall flowing directly from the mountain to the sea.

By the way, Yumin started using a smartphone at this time, and her photo album begins with landscapes of Noto.

This is a work that conveys “acacia”, which was born from the beautiful and memorable scenery of Ishikawa, through music and visuals.
