Wednesday Campanella digitally releases “Akaneko,” the theme song for the anime “Ramen Akaneko”

■ “I hope that listening to this song will give you energy and make you think, ‘Okay, let’s do our best tomorrow!'” (Wednesday Campanella)

Wednesday Campanella digitally released “Aka Neko,” written by Kenmochi Hidefumi, as the theme song for the TBS TV anime “Ramen Aka Neko” (every Thursday from 11:56 p.m.) at midnight on July 17th.

“Aka Neko” features a fast-paced electropop sound and lyrics that are in keeping with the worldview of “Ramen Aka Neko,” which is heartwarming and soothing. It is included in Wednesday Campanella’s 3rd EP “POP DELIVER,” released on June 5, but this digital single also includes an instrumental version.

The cover illustration was drawn by Michinori Chiba, the character designer for the TV anime series “Ramen Aka Neko.” It was drawn with the image of Utaha being a cat working at “Ramen Aka Neko,” and her vivid pink and eyeliner are eye-catching.

■ Wednesday Campanella Comments
This time, Wednesday Campanella has composed the theme song for “Ramen Aka Neko.” It is for people who love ramen and cats. In today’s society where many things happen every day, I think that both the customers who come to the store and the readers of the work seek healing in “Ramen Aka Neko.” This song is in keeping with the worldview of the work, and I tried to put into music an exciting sense of speed, a positive sense of exhilaration, and a feeling that is somehow warm and soothing. I hope that listening to this song will give you a source of energy that makes you think, “Okay, let’s do our best tomorrow!”
