Mariko Shinoda will be making a guest appearance on the fourth episode of FANTASTICS’ signature program “FUN! FUN! FANTASTICS SEASON4” (Nippon TV), which will be broadcast on July 23rd.
“FUN! FUN! FANTASTICS SEASON 4” is the fourth installment of the situational comedy series in which FANTASTICS appear as themselves and receive direct instruction on nostalgic culture from legends in various fields.
Shinoda is known as a former member of the national idol group AKB48, but in fact she failed her audition!? She talks about the surprising audition untold story and her early days handing out flyers and selling tickets at theaters.
There was also a scene where the FANTASTICS members were astonished by the unusual content of the event, which was held at Hanayashiki (an amusement park in Asakusa, Tokyo). Another highlight is the scene where Shinoda reveals the unknown behind-the-scenes of the AKB48 General Election, which she describes as “mentally tough.”
On the topic of AKB48 handshake events, Yagi Yusei confessed that he had participated in one when he was in junior high school, saying, “I’ve been there!” Shinoda was delighted, saying, “That’s amazing!
