BLACKPINK Rose appears in first campaign since becoming PUMA ambassador

Rose (the “e” is officially spelled with an acute accent), a member of BLACKPINK, was appointed as a global brand ambassador for Puma in June. As part of her first campaign since assuming the position as ambassador, “Rewrite the Classics,” a visual of her wearing the “PALERMO VINTAGE,” an updated version of Puma’s classic model “PALERMO,” which represents the terrace style of the 1980s, has been released.

The model will be available from July 19th.

The name “PALERMO” comes from Palermo, a place in northwestern Sicily, Italy, and is a famous model that represents the terrace style of the 1980s. It was originally released as one of Puma’s special shoes that paid homage to famous European capitals such as London and Oslo, and became a standard model for spectators at soccer stadiums at the time.

This campaign puts the spotlight on “PALERMO VINTAGE” and introduces the iconic terrace look through Rose’s unique style. In the campaign visuals, Rose coordinates “PALERMO VINTAGE” with a PUMA T7 track jacket on the vibrant streets of Seoul. In addition to the classic black worn by Rose, various color variations will be released one after another.

■Comment from Rose (BLACKPINK)
PUMA has a glorious tradition, and “PALERMO” has a wonderful story. “PALERMO” started as a favorite among fans at soccer stadiums in the 80s, and since then, it has been reborn by new generations. I look forward to wearing this “PALERMO VINTAGE” in my own way and conveying its new charm to captivate fans. For me, PUMA is a symbol of the driving force of a new generation that expresses freedom without being bound by frameworks.
