Masayoshi Yamazaki and Taisei Sakai co-star in the drama “Mitsuya Sensei’s Planned Feeding” – Episode 1 preview, guest cast, theme song information and more released

■Kyoko appears as a photographer who takes pictures of Mitsuya (Yamazaki Masayoshi) and Kaoru (Maruyama Tomomi) at an event in the play!

The first episode of “Mitsuya Sensei’s Planned Feeding” will be broadcast on the MBS Drama Fill slot (MBS: Thursdays from 25:29, TVK every Thursday from 25:00, etc.) from July 25th, and the preview and guest cast of the first episode have been released.

Additionally, information on the opening and ending theme songs has been released.

Starring Yamazaki Masayoshi and Sakai Taisei, this work is a live-action drama adaptation of Matsumoto Ayaka’s age-gap BL manga “Mitsuya Sensei no Meitakuteki na Mezuke,” which was serialized in “Manga Yomonga” (Bunkasha) from 2020 to 2022 and published as a book in January 2024.

The newly released preview video, from the shocking encounter between Mitsuya Ayumu (Yamazaki Masayoshi) and Ishida Yuya (Sakai Taisei) to the delicious home-cooked meals Mitsuya prepares, makes viewers even more curious about the drama. With a gentle and calm atmosphere, his ex-lover Noguchi Kaoru (Maruyama Tomomi) and the cafe bar owner Shige (Uno Shohei) also make an appearance.

The guest cast was also announced. The role of Fuyushima, an editor who works at a different publishing company to the main character, Ishida Yuya, and is seen as a rival, will be played by actor Konan Mitsuji, who has been active in a wide range of genres, including TV dramas and movies, in addition to his stage work, and who has attracted attention for his role as Sakuma Rei in the stage play “Ensemble Stars!” and recently gave a brilliant performance as Fujiwara Sai in the first move of the song scroll “Hikaru no Go”.

Kyoko has also been confirmed to appear as a photographer who takes pictures of Mitsuya and Kaoru at an event in the play. She has collaborated with Masayoshi Yamazaki and many other artists, so expectations are high for what kind of chemistry she will create in the film.

■ Comment from Koji Konan
My name is Konan Mitsuji, and I played the role of Fuyushima in this film.
The filming period was very short, only two days, but Masayoshi Yamazaki, who played Mitsuya Sensei, talked to me in a friendly manner, and the atmosphere on set, including the staff, was very good, so I quickly became acquainted with him.
Thanks to that, I think the slightly more mature scenes with Mitsuya-sensei were given more depth lol
Viewers can also try to recreate the dishes that Mitsuya Sensei makes and experience what it feels like to be fed by him.
The story will get more and more interesting from now on, so I hope you will check it out.

■ Comment from Kyoko
I have seen many of Masayoshi Yamazaki’s works as an actor, but this was my first time to see him on set as an actor. He exudes a different aura from the musician Masayoshi Yamazaki,
Actor! Masayoshi Yamazaki! His presence made him seem unapproachable.
And it was the irresistible character, Mr. Mitsuya. I was overwhelmed by his presence. And on top of that, director Katsumi Nojiri! I’m just excited (heart)

■The opening theme song will be “Frito” by Masayoshi Yamazaki, and the ending theme song will be “Awa, Mokaku. Me wo Mite feat. Sen Kusari from Misekai”!
The opening theme song “Frito” was written specifically for this drama, and it has a gentle yet refreshing melody and a warm singing voice that will soothe your heart. The song’s melody makes you want to sing along, and the title, which is the same as the name of Mitsuya Sensei’s pet dog (Frito), makes it a playful theme song that can be enjoyed along with the drama.

The ending theme song, “Me wo Mite feat. Senkusari from Misekai,” has a sad yet powerful ballad melody and lyrics that touch the heart, and it matches the drama’s gentle style as the ending of this work. There is no doubt that you will be immersed in the afterglow even after you have finished watching the drama.

■ Comment from Masayoshi Yamazaki
A dog named Frito appears in the story.
I also have a dog, and it’s hard to describe how much I love him, but I wrote this song as a symbol of indiscriminate love. Even though he’s a dog that doesn’t listen to anything I say.

■ Foamy and brittle. Comments
I was honored to be involved in this production that values the sense of distance between people.
I feel very happy.

The feelings I put into this song
Frustrating distance,
It was a vague relationship,
The importance of looking someone in the eye and telling them
Every meaningful action and word
I would be happy if I could add even a little color.

This is the first song that Awaku, Mokuraku has featured on.
I think it will blend into the work in a new way.
