■ “Kin-chan and Shingo-chan are also looking forward to your participation!” (Program producer)

It has been announced that “Kinchan & Katori Shingo’s 100th All Japan Costume Contest” will be broadcast.

The All Japan Costume Contest, which began in 1979 and has been held 99 times, has decided to hold its 100th tournament. The last time, the Costume Contest was held, it was revived for the first time in three years (held in December 2023 and broadcast in February 2024). The whole venue applauded when Kin-chan and Shingo-chan appeared for the first time in a long time, creating a warm atmosphere.

Participants put their ideas to good use, work hard to create a piece from scratch, and perform it, creating an unscripted, moving drama. The costume contest has always stunned viewers with its innovative ideas. This year, regional preliminaries will be held nationwide, and the call for entries will begin at 6:00 on July 19th. Check the program website for details.

■ Comment from Nippon Television’s Takahiro Ueda, program producer
It has been 45 years since it first began in 1979. The All Japan Costume Contest is celebrating its 100th anniversary!
A total of 4,135 groups participated in the program, and it became Japan’s leading interactive program.
I was able to grow.
As this is a commemorative tournament, maybe some legendary works from the past 99 tournaments will be revived?!
In addition to forming a team with family, relatives, or classmates, you can also enter alone.
Of course, first-time visitors are also welcome!
Please come and join us for our memorable 100th tournament!
Kin-chan and Shingo-chan are also looking forward to your participation!
