Hasegawa Hakushi, the first Japanese artist to sign with Brainfeeder, the LA label headed by Flying Lotus, makes his first appearance on the 457th episode of the YouTube channel “THE FIRST TAKE” (premiering at 10pm on July 19th).
The song for this update is “Kusagi,” one of her representative tracks included on the EP “Kusagi Moeudo” (2018), which was her last release as a teenager and made a huge impact on the music scene.
This song, which embodies a mental landscape with his refined sensibility and is a complex blend of sounds, was recorded in one take with a special band arrangement that combines the tension and groove unique to “THE FIRST TAKE.”

I was very excited. Live performances are supposed to be something you can only do once, but even so, I was really surprised at how much more alive I felt when there were such strong restrictions. It was a lot of fun.
