An emergency reprint of issue 2406 of "anan," featuring Koshi Inaba (B'z) on the cover for the first time, has been decided due to being out of stock.

It has been decided that issue 2406 of “anan” (Magazine House), which was released on July 17th, will be reprinted urgently.

In the same issue, B’z vocalist and solo artist Koshi Inaba made his first appearance on the cover of “anan.” A 24-page feature was also published, focusing on Inaba’s past and future, as he has sung about the world, hope, and himself.

Inaba has appeared in “anan” twice in the past, but this is his first appearance in 20 years. And he is finally on the cover.

The cover and special feature information about the book caused a huge reaction when they were released, and pre-orders flooded in as soon as it went on sale. Online bookstores sold out in just a few days after pre-orders were released. On the day of release on July 17, many bookstores and convenience stores across the country sold out. The book was sold out one after another, and orders flooded in, so a decision was made to urgently reprint it.

Due to the printing process, reprints of “anan” will be available in stores about two weeks after the decision is made. For “anan,” which publishes a new issue every week in a weekly magazine cycle, reprinting means selling the next issue and the issue after that in parallel.

For this reason, and also to avoid confusion from having multiple magazines with the same title but different content on store shelves, until 2017, the magazine had only been reprinted once in its 47-year history, and reprinting a weekly magazine was said to be breaking the rules for the reasons mentioned above.

However, in recent years, the speed and momentum of sales when a popular star appears at a popular time has accelerated, resulting in many issues being out of stock and “weekly magazine reprints” continuing.

The reprinted version of issue 2406 of “Anan,” featuring Inaba Koshi on the cover, is scheduled to arrive in bookstores around August 1st.
