Ikuta Erika’s first lead role in a terrestrial TV drama series, “Subarashiki Ka, Sensei!” (ABC TV), will begin airing in August.
This work depicts the growth of a new high school teacher. As it is a school drama, Ikuta made a surprise appearance at a school in Tokyo to promote the drama’s appeal. In addition, the main visual featuring the gorgeous cast was also released.

Ikuta arrived at Tokiwamatsu Gakuen Junior and Senior High School, where the closing ceremony for the first semester was being held.
During the closing ceremony, an announcement was made saying, “Please watch a video about how we spent our summer vacation,” and when Ikuta appeared on the video, the students began to get excited in confusion and anticipation, asking, “What’s this?”, “Why Ikuta?”, and “Could it be…!?”
The video ended with Ikuta’s comment, “I’d love to talk to you all in person,” and when the real Ikuta appeared in the gymnasium, the audience erupted in cheers! “Ahhh!” “She’s too cute!” “What, she’s real? Amazing!”, and other excited voices were heard one after another.
While the excitement was still high, the students started asking Ikuta questions. In response to the question, “Is there anything you wish you had done during your high school life?”, Ikuta revealed a surprising episode: “I was working hard to get the credits I needed, and I was doing my best to balance my entertainment activities, but I ended up oversleeping on the last test! Please be careful, everyone!”
In addition, a teacher who is a big fan of Ikuta asked for her support as the third-year high school students will be taking entrance exams soon.
Ikuta commented, “I think the most important thing is mental health. If you are mentally healthy, you will be able to make the most of your inherent abilities and what you have learned, so I would like to send you my heartfelt encouragement to not push yourself too hard and to keep your mind free!” She gave warm encouragement to the test-takers.
Next, Ikuta asked the students, “Who do you think is a teacher like this?” The students gave a variety of answers, such as “A teacher who will answer your questions 24 hours a day!” and “A teacher who will treat you like a friend!” In response, Ikuta immediately promoted the drama, saying, “You will use these ideas in your acting, so be sure to watch it!”

Ikuta, who will be starring in a terrestrial TV drama for the first time, plays Rio, a novice high school teacher who became a teacher because of his dreams. Tired of the unreasonable educational environment, he is suddenly put in charge of class 3C just when he is thinking of quitting his job.
Every day he struggles, being tossed about by students who enjoy their freedom and selfish adults. Nevertheless, he is supported by those around him, and sometimes falls in love, sometimes sheds tears. This is the story of a teacher who struggles through it all.
The first thing to pay attention to in the main visual for this film is Ikuta’s facial expression. The image shows her posting complaints on social media and looking worried, and on her timeline, the main cast, all of whom have unique personalities, are posting freely and unrestrainedly.
