■ “I want to make this summer even hotter, so hot that you can see the heat haze from EX THEATER!” (Ukisho Hidaka)
The huge, acclaimed event “TV Asahi Roppongi Hills Summer Festival SUMER STATION” is being held for a total of 37 days from July 20th to August 25th.
One of the venues, “EX THEATER ROPPONGI,” will host a performance by the juniors of STARTO ENTERTAINMENT, “Mynavi Summer Station Live 2024 SUMMER GO! MIRAI GO! East! West! All Together,” from July 19th to August 25th.
This performance will feature Inoue Mizuki x Hashimoto Ryo, Nasu Yuto x Ukisho Hiki, AmBitious, and Boys be, with juniors from Tokyo appearing in the first half and juniors from Kansai in the second half.
Divided into four groups, the group will perform a total of 57 shows, delivering an energetic and fascinating stage performance with a program unique to Summer Station Live.
The public dress rehearsal for this summer’s hottest stage was held on July 18th, the day before the main performance. Centering on Mizuki Inoue x Ryo Hashimoto, and Yuto Nasu x Hidaka Ukisho, they performed a “special edition” that condensed the highlights of the performance, knocking out the reporters.
■ “I want to go all out” “I’ve never sweated so much on a stage before!”
In the public dress rehearsal, the group led by HiHi Jets’ Mizuki Inoue and Ryo Hashimoto performed three songs, including “ABARERO” (SixTONES). They overwhelmed the press with their aggressive performance, which was like a burning flame.
In fact, according to Hashimoto, from the planning stage onwards, they had been “talking about wanting to go wild to the limit.” At an interview right after the dress rehearsal, Inoue also emphasized the highlights of the show, saying, “We’re placing so much emphasis on power and enthusiasm that when we’re not on stage, everyone collapses in the wings.”
Meanwhile, the Nasu Yuto x Ukisho Hidaka group sang three songs, including “Magical Night” by Bishounen, to which they belong. With a jazzy and smart performance, they showed off a new charm.
Of course, they were also at full throttle. Nasu said enthusiastically, “I’ve never sweated so much on stage! I want to show the strength of my teamwork with Ukisho, who is the same age as me,” and Ukisho playfully appealed, “I’m surprised at how much I can’t stop sweating. I’m working hard on my dancing and singing to improve my skills, so please pay attention to my sweat (laughs).”
■ “Honestly, I’m a bit scared! I’m worried that he’ll take all my fans away (laughs),” he said, terrified!
Inoue, Hashimoto, Nasu, and Ukisho, who lead each group, also work well with their juniors.
He says he is inspired every day by the enthusiasm of his juniors, who actively participate in performances, even coming up with their own choreography, and he praised them highly during the interview.
At one point, Inoue expressed his fear, saying, “It feels like they are fighting with me on the front lines, so it’s reassuring. To be honest, it’s a bit scary! Their performance skills are so great that I’m worried they might take all our fans away (laughs).”
■ Dress rehearsal only! The common theme song “Motto” will be performed by the two groups together in a special performance.
These seniors and juniors, who respect each other, came together and stood side by side, and on this day they also performed a “joint performance of the two groups” that was “exclusive to the public dress rehearsal.”
They will be performing “Motto,” the common theme song for all Summer Station live shows.
Playing on the title of the song, Ukisho declared at the press conference, “I want to make this summer even hotter, so hot that you’ll be able to see the heat haze from EX THEATER!”, raising expectations for the performance.
