YOASOBI's new song "Stage Standing," written as the "NHK Sports Theme 2024," will be released digitally

YOASOBI’s new song “Stage ni Tate” (Stage ni Tate), written as the “NHK Sports Theme 2024”, will be released digitally on July 26th, the day of the “Paris Olympics 2024 Opening Ceremony”. The cover photo has also been released.

The jacket photo is a colorful collage design that captures the world of the sports-themed song, and also uses illustrations drawn specifically for this album by three manga artists: Taizan 5, Kirishima Yuki, and Haruno Hirukata.

In addition, a one-shot story by Taizan 5, Kirishima Yuki, and Haruno Hiruga, depicting the protagonists struggling with conflicts while competing with each other over a sports theme, will be released on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump + for three consecutive days starting from July 26th.

Taizan 5’s “The Separated Couple” will be released on July 26th, Kirishima Yuki’s “Parallel Lanes” on the 27th, and Haruno Hirukata’s “The Never-Ending Deuce” on the 28th.

Prior to the release of the manga, the original novel of “Stage ni Tate” written by Esaka Jun based on the manga was released. The original novel is a direct copy of the dynamism depicted in the manga, and connects the song and the manga, allowing readers to understand and enjoy the project that crossed over the song and the manga more deeply.

I have written a new song called “Stage Standing” for the NHK Sports Theme 2024.
We too have been deeply influenced by the athletes we see performing in various situations, and have been deeply touched and moved by them.
I am very honored to have this opportunity.
This song is not only a cheer for the athletes who will actually be competing,
We created this song with feelings that are common to us as artists, such as the conflict we feel before standing on the big stage and the excitement we feel at that moment.
