■The only criterion for judging is, “Do you want to see it again?”

From singing, dancing, magic, art, to one-liners… Anything goes as long as it’s within one minute and there are no more than three members. The special program “3people 1minute” will be broadcast on Nippon TV from 9pm on July 23rd to determine the best performance that can be enjoyed worldwide.

The MCs will be Sho Hirano (Number_i) and Naomi Watanabe, both of whom are active worldwide. The panel of judges, including SKY-HI, RIEHATA, Travis Payne, MEGUMI, and Koji Kato, will evaluate each performance with a global perspective. The only criterion for judging is, “Do you want to see it again?”

20 groups appeared on the first stage, and 15 groups advanced to the second stage. The six groups that made it through to the finals to decide the winning team. In the one-shot competition, the contestants were expected to surprise, show their greatness and entertainment value, and also to perform in a way that would make the audience want to see them again.

The contestants are top-class performers from a variety of genres. A wide variety of performances will be shown, including “magic that will make you scream at the end,” “a performance by the winning team of the ‘Costume Grand Prix’,” “a spectacular dance by a brother and sister who have won the All Japan Championship four times in a row,” “a solo simultaneous yodel and beatbox performance,” and “calligraphy with a head flip.”

Since any kind of performance is OK, Hirano said, “Naomi can also participate!” to which Watanabe replied enthusiastically, “If it were me, I’d probably do something like skipping rope (laughs).”

The studio was filled with screams, sighs, and laughter at the amazing performance unfolding before their eyes, and the judges were also thrilled.

In “Zero Gravity Dance Using the Horizontal Bar,” they use the horizontal bar to fly in incredible positions. Travis, the legendary choreographer for Michael Jackson, highly praised them, saying, “There’s no one else like them.”

RIEHATA, who choreographs for world-famous artists including BTS, was excited. He was completely absorbed in the delicate “paper craft manga” that shows a superb love story in just one minute, saying, “I’m getting addicted to this show. This is what 1 minute is all about!”

Kato, curious about what went on behind the scenes of this large-scale shadow puppet performance despite the small number of people, asked the performers, “How do you do it?” and when he heard how it worked, he expressed astonishment, saying, “Seriously!?”

In “The Man Who Sticks Cans to His Body,” the audience erupts in laughter as they watch a human transform into a form never seen before. There is also a scene where Hirano, who is curious about the performer’s body, touches it to see what is going on.

MEGUMI seemed to be in culture shock after seeing the unimaginable performance, saying “Everything was a new experience, it felt like my pores had opened up in new ways.”

SKY-HI commented, “What they did was simple, but it made me feel excited,” expressing his impressions of the charismatic producer’s attention to detail in the performance, and the heart-wrenching performance was praised with a standing ovation.

The two MCs, Watanabe, who is cheerful and lively, and Hirano, who comments on the performers’ feelings, are a well-coordinated combination that leads the show. When Hirano got a high score, he gave a high five, and Watanabe patted him on the shoulder to celebrate with him, showing warm interactions with the contestants.

In the finals, where six selected groups compete against each other for the championship, Hirano performs a performance that leaves him wide-eyed and speechless, and SKY-HI is moved to tears by a moving performance.
