ENHYPEN’s album “ROMANCE : UNTOLD” reaches No. 2 on the US Billboard 200! Experience-based event also a huge success



■’ROMANCE : UNTOLD’ breaks ENHYPEN’s all-time highest album sales!

ENHYPEN’s latest album “ROMANCE : UNTOLD” has reached its highest ranking yet on the US Billboard 200.

According to a chart preview article posted on the official website of American music media Billboard on July 21 (local time), ENHYPEN’s second studio album “ROMANCE: UNTOLD” was ranked second on the main album chart “Billboard 200” (dated July 27). It ranks just behind global star Eminem’s new album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).”

Billboard revealed that “ROMANCE : UNTOLD” sold 117,000 copies and SEA unit sales (sales calculated based on streaming numbers) were 7,000 copies. With this, ENHYPEN has now charted seven CDs released in Korea, including their second mini-album “BORDER : CARNIVAL,” on the Billboard 200. Four of those have also made it into the Top 10.

With “ROMANCE : UNTOLD,” they achieved a remarkable achievement, moving up two places from the 4th place recorded by their previous two works (4th mini-album “DARK BLOOD” and 5th mini-album “ORANGE BLOOD”) and entering the TOP 3 of this chart for the first time since their debut. This album also broke the record for the highest sales of ENHYPEN’s albums to date, taking first place on the “TOP ALBUM SALES” list.

ENHYPEN has also been trying new things through “ROMANCE : UNTOLD”. From July 13th to 21st, they held an offline event “Romance House” at Studio Concrete in Yongsan, Seoul. It was planned with the concept of inviting people to ENHYPEN’s house, and was divided into two parts, lasting 60 minutes.

The first part stimulated the senses of hearing, taste and smell. After entering the building from the first floor and taking their seats, all the lights were turned off and in the darkness, ENHYPEN played a sweet greeting welcoming ENGENE (fandom name). ENHYPEN expressed their feelings for ENGENE, saying, “We prepared roses for ENGENE as a token of our gratitude,” and “When I imagined ENGENE being happy, I naturally became happy.”

Regarding the scent that filled the venue, a voice said, “Please don’t forget the scent of this space where we are together,” adding to the romantic atmosphere. ENHYPEN’s welcome drinks also doubled the sweetness. Guests could enjoy the “UNTOLD Concept Cinema” while eating cake and drinking drinks that reflected ENHYPEN’s ideas.

In the second part, a fully-fledged participation corner heightened the sense of immersion for fans. ENGENE carried out a mission to find hidden messages in their second studio album using hidden kits that served as clues provided upon entry. Concept photos for “ROMANCE : UNTOLD,” props used in the shoot, and exclusive behind-the-scenes Polaroid photos of the members were placed all over the second floor, creating an environment where ENGENE could fully enjoy the album.

ENGENE’s response to the event, which allowed them to enjoy the album in a unique way, was also explosive. “Romance House” was held over nine sessions per day, but the number of people applying to participate in the event was eight times the number of people that could be accommodated. ENGENE, who participated in the event, expressed his satisfaction, saying, “I really got a feel for ENHYPEN’s concept,” and “It was fun to solve the questions while looking around here and there.”
