Daichi Miura to release Paris 2024 Olympic Team Japan official support song "Heartbeat" digitally

It has been announced that “Heartbeat Sound,” written by Daichi Miura as the official support song for TEAM JAPAN, which will be competing in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, will be released digitally on July 26th.

The new song “Heartbeat” was created with the keyword “heartbeat,” which is the sound of a beginning for people, as it represents the “beginner’s intentions” that people remember when they take a step forward, and the sound of a new “beginning” for that person after taking that step.

The song combines a beat that inspires each individual athlete with a warmth that creates a sense of unity as one team, TEAM JAPAN.

“Heartbeat” was used in the first TEAM JAPAN concept movie produced by the JOC, with the concept “Take the courage to step forward” toward the Paris 2024 Olympics. It is being aired on TV commercials and in the athletes’ village.

Prior to the release of the song, the 60-second TEAM JAPAN TV commercial entitled “Have the courage to take a step forward” was recently released on YouTube, and has received many comments such as “I’m cheering you on with my heartbeat.”

It was made so coolly that it brings back memories. It’s a photo of me as a high school freshman when I started fencing, and it reminded me of the first step I took at that time. Combined with Daichi Miura’s song, it reminds me that the Olympics are finally about to begin, and it reminds me of the courage I felt at the time that gave me that excitement, and it makes me feel like I can take on the challenge with great force.
