Creepy Nuts remixes Dua Lipa's latest single

Creepy Nuts has collaborated with the world’s most famous singer, Dua Lipa! Dua Lipa’s new single “Illusion (Creepy Nuts Remix)” was released worldwide on July 26th.

The song is a new remix version of “Illusion,” a track off Dua Lipa’s latest album, Radical Optimism, released in May.

The original version, in which she breaks away from her previous weak self and sings about a character who toys with men, reached number one on the US Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, ranked in the top 10 of the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, and has been a huge hit, with over 250 million streams worldwide and the music video being viewed over 35 million times.

Dua Lipa was the headliner at the UK’s biggest music festival, Glastonbury, which took place recently. Her latest album, Radical Optimism, released in May, has been streamed over 2 billion times worldwide and topped the UK album charts.

She is the first artist in history to have five songs with over 2 billion plays on Spotify, and is also recognized as the 25th most listened to artist of all time. She is now a global diva, both in name and reality. Her first Japan tour in six years in November was sold out in one day, and she is attracting a lot of attention here in Japan.

■How Creepy Nuts was selected to remix Dua Lipa’s song
The intriguing story behind why Creepy Nuts was chosen to sing Dua Lipa’s global hit single has also been revealed.

In March, Creepy Nuts’ “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” entered the Top 10 (peaked at 8th place) on the US Billboard Global Chart “Global 200” and made it into the Top 3 (peaked at 3rd place) on the “Global 200 Excl. US” chart excluding the US. This worldwide break caught the eye of Dua, who then miraculously offered Creepy Nuts a job through her staff in Japan. Creepy Nuts readily accepted the offer, making this dream collaboration between two No. 1 artists a reality.

Surprisingly, Creepy Nuts’ first collaboration with an overseas artist, “Illusion (Creepy Nuts Remix),” features a catchy track by DJ Matsunaga, R-Shitei’s lyrics full of homage, including many of Dua Lipa’s past work titles, and a high-speed rap! This is truly a song that can be called “Creepy Nuts world standard.”
