YOASOBI releases new song “Stage Standing,” written for the “NHK Sports Theme 2024,” digitally and releases music video teaser

■”Standing on the Stage” is an uplifting guitar rock tune written with the imagery of the conflicts and excitement that Aslee faces in mind!

YOASOBI released their new song “Stage Standing, (Butai ni Tatte)” written as the “NHK Sports Theme 2024,” on July 26, the same day as the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

“Stage First” is an uplifting guitar rock tune written with the image of the conflicts and excitement that athletes face. It is a song that will encourage anyone, not just athletes, to take a courageous step forward in any situation.

To create the song, they asked Taizan 5, Yuki Kirishima, and Hiyuga Haruno, who are active in Shueisha’s “Shonen Jump +”, to create a piece with a sports theme. Based on the manga that they had drawn, Jun Esaka wrote a novel, and “Stage Standing” was created based on the original novel.

Additionally, on July 26th, Taizan5’s original short story “Hanareta Futari” will be released on “Shonen Jump+”. On the 27th, Kirishima Yuki’s “Parallel Lane” will be released, and on the 28th, Haruno Hirushita’s “Owaranai Deuce” will be released.

Each manga artist has created a work with a sports theme, depicting protagonists who strive to improve while carrying their own conflicts. Be sure to enjoy the music along with the story. The original novel written by Esaka Jun is also available on the YOASOBI official website.

A teaser video for the music video for “Stage” was also released. The full version is scheduled to be released soon.
