Aimyon plays five different versions of herself in the music video for “Zarame,” the theme song for the drama “Furitsumore Kodoku na Shi yo” starring Narita Ryo

■ “The self I want to be, the tainted self, the self I want to cover up. I feel like I’m searching for my true self while confronting all these different aspects of myself.” (Aimyon)

Aimyon released the song “Zarame” from her 5th album “Neko ni Jealousy” on July 29th. The music video has also been released.

“Zarame” is the theme song for the Sunday drama “Furitsumore Kodoku na Shi yo” (Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV), which began airing on July 7th.

The music video will be released at 8pm on July 29th, the same day the video begins. The music video was directed by film director and vocalist of the band Bialystocks, Motoki Hoki. In the video, Aimyon plays five different versions of herself, appearing in various roles including as a man and a woman in a traditional Japanese kimono.

After releasing her album on September 11, Aimyon will be holding a nationwide tour “AIMYON TOUR 2024-25 “Dolphin Apart”” with 30 performances nationwide from September 28. This is also worth checking out.

■Aimyon’s comment
While I was shooting, I had a strange feeling, wondering where on earth this world is connected. The self I want to be, the tainted self, the self I want to cover up. I feel like I’m searching for my true self while confronting all these different selves.

Comment from Director Motoki Hoki
I wander through the forest that is myself, tuning myself to be myself.
Listening to this song, I thought that even when you’re lost in that kind of time, just making eye contact with someone for a moment can change the world you see.

With the help of Aimyon’s generosity, I hope that this music video, which was shot in a lively manner, can serve as an interpretation of one of the countless paths that the song Zarame describes.
