Stray Kids’ new album “ATE” achieves fifth consecutive No. 1 spot on the US Billboard charts

■They are the first group in history to have five consecutive number one albums after first charting at number one on the Billboard 200!

Stray Kids’ Korean mini album “ATE”, released on July 19th, topped the Billboard 200, the main chart of the US Billboard. This marks the fifth consecutive time that Stray Kids has topped the Billboard 200.

Stray Kids first charted on the US Billboard 200 in March 2022 with “ODDINARY,” which simultaneously reached number one, and has since topped the Billboard 200 with “MAXIDENT” in October of the same year, “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” in June 2023, and “樂-STAR (ROCK-STAR)” in November.

This is the first time in history that a group has had five consecutive No. 1 albums since their first chart appearance, and the second time in the history of an artist to achieve this feat after DMX.

In addition, the sales of her Korean mini-album “ATE” on the Billboard 200 are not only the highest among K-POP artists in 2024, but also the second highest among all artists, after Taylor Swift.

Additionally, the music video for “Chk Chk Boom,” the lead track from “ATE,” featured special appearances by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, which became a hot topic.

Stray Kids members said about this album, “We started working on the album in October last year, and faced some of the biggest hardships and trials we’ve ever faced. We made countless revisions and polishes until we were satisfied, and we’re confident in the result. We’re sure that STAY will be pleased with this album.”
