■The total number of views of videos related to “366 Days” has exceeded 100 million!
HY’s signature song “366 Days” has surpassed 100 million total streaming plays on the Billboard JAPAN chart.
“366 Days” is a track from the album “HeartY” released by HY on April 16, 2008. It was released as a solo vocal song by Izumi Nakasone (Key, Vo), and debuted at 68th place on the Streaming Songs chart on October 11, 2017, the week after the chart was launched.
It has become a love song beloved by many people of all generations as a karaoke and cover staple, and 16 years later, a drama of the same name inspired by the song was broadcast in the Fuji TV Monday 9pm slot in April, and a new version of “366 Days (Official Duet ver.)” was released featuring vocals by Niiza Hideyuki (Vo, Gu).
The beautiful harmony and interplay between the double vocals of Nakasone and Arata bring out the charm of the song, which is different from the original.
Furthermore, when collaborative versions with different male artists such as Takuya Ohashi (Sukima Switch) and Sho Yonashiro (JO1) were aired and released each week as the theme song for the drama, attention was once again drawn to the original version, and this week, marking the 356th week since it first entered the charts, the cumulative number of plays surpassed 100 million.
This is the first song by HY to reach 100 million total plays, and according to Billboard Japan’s statistics, it is the 11th song released in the 2000s to reach that milestone.
The aforementioned collaboration version is currently available on YouTube. After the drama airs, viewers have started to visit the videos, and currently, the video with Takuya Ohashi (Sukima Switch) has been viewed over 5 million times, the video with Shohei Nagata (Chocolate Planet) has been viewed over 4 million times, and the videos with Sho Yonashiro (JO1) and Takaya Kawasaki have been viewed over 2 million times.
In addition, the total number of views of the related videos for “366 Days” (music video, live music video, collaboration movie) that have been released so far has exceeded 100 million, and with this year being a leap year, “366 Days” is once again becoming a hot topic.
