■Haruka Sakuraba becomes a member of CUTIE STREET. “I will continue to work hard every day to be a ray of light for everyone.”
The members of the new group CUTIE STREET, which will debut from “KAWAII LAB.”, an idol project by Asobisystem, known for FRUITS ZIPPER, have been announced. Haruka Sakuraba, who participated in the audition program “PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS,” is also on the list, attracting attention.
Sakuraba made it to the finals of PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS, the audition that produced ME:I, but unfortunately was eliminated. In June, it was announced that she had joined Asobisystem. She has 289,000 followers on Instagram (as of July 2012), and is extremely popular.
In a post on Instagram, she expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am so happy to have finally reached the point where I can become an idol, which has always been my dream. I am able to make my dream come true thanks to all the people who have supported and cheered me on. I am truly grateful. In addition to Sakuraba, CUTIE STREET consists of eight members: Furusawa Risa, Sano Aika, Itakura Kana, Masuda Ayano, Kawamoto Eru, Umeda Miyu, and Manabe Nagisa. The members come from different backgrounds, including influencers, actresses, idols, dancers, and students. The group will be unveiled on August 4th at the KAWAII LAB. stage of “TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2024.”

On TikTok, the magazine “LARME”, for which Sakuraba is a regular model, celebrated Sakuraba’s debut and released a video of her dancing to FRUITS ZIPPER’s “NEW KAWAII – Let’s Update? ver.”
Also, on the CUTIE STREET account, all eight members were dancing to FRUITS ZIPPER’s “Watashi no Ichiban Kawaii Tokoro,” with Sakuraba exuding her cute charm in the center.
