■ The lyrics of “deny,” which she wrote herself, strongly express Utaha’s view of life and death.
The second lead role of Wednesday Campanella/The music video for “deny,” a track from vocalist Utaha’s solo project’s first album, “Utau Youni, Hogarakani,” has been released.
Following “MY BODY IS CUTE” and “teenager” released in July, this is the third work and is directed by video artist Yuka Eda. With a cinematic texture, it depicts a story that follows the worldview of the song while following the figure of Utaha who is performing passionately with black hair and a uniform.
The lyrics of “deny,” written by Utaha herself, express a strong view of life and death. However, they are by no means pessimistic, and are written with words that warmly embrace the listener, strongly demonstrating Utaha’s presence as a solo artist.
To celebrate the release of her first album, “Utau Youni, Hogarakani,” Utaha will hold her first solo concert at Shinjuku LOFT on her 23rd birthday, August 9. Tickets have already sold out.
They will hold in-store concerts at Tower Records Shibuya on August 11th and Tower Records Umeda NU Chayamachi on August 25th. These will be acoustic sessions.
