Back Number's theme song for the drama "The Beginning of the Sea," "To New Lovers," will be released on CD! Jacket also revealed!

Back Number has announced that their latest song, “To New Lovers,” which is the theme song for the Fuji TV Monday 9pm drama “The Beginning of the Sea” and is currently a digital hit, will be released as their 22nd CD single on September 11th.

“New Lovers” was released on July 15th and ranked first on the weekly, daily and real-time 55 charts. It is a huge hit, having won first place on the Billboard JAPAN comprehensive song chart “JAPAN Hot 100” released on July 24th (collection period: July 15th to 21st). This will be back number’s first CD single release in about three years since “Yellow” in September 2021.

The CD single “New Lovers” will be released in three formats and five different packages: the first limited edition (Blu-ray ver./DVD ver.), the regular edition, and the fan club limited edition (Blu-ray ver./DVD ver.). The jacket visuals for each edition have also been released.

The CD (first limited edition and regular edition) will include the title song “To New Lovers” as well as the new song “Map of Paradise.”

The first limited edition includes a bonus video called “back number live archive selection,” which presents a ranking of the best live performances selected by fan club members from the tours that have been filmed since their major debut. This original content also includes a look back at the members’ performances.

In addition to “back number live archive selection,” the fan club limited edition also includes “back number exclusive video,” in which the three members attempt to make a dish from a certain country they have never heard of or tried before. Keep an eye on the three as they work together to try an unknown dish, struggling with every step of the process, from shopping for ingredients to cooking methods and seasonings, to see if they can perfectly recreate the taste with just one minute of tasting. In addition, the CD includes a bonus track, a re-recording of the limited single “Queen’s Monkey,” which was released exclusively for the fan club in 2021. The fan club limited edition will be on sale from 6:00 p.m. on August 2nd to 11:59 p.m. on August 31st, and sales will end as soon as the maximum number of products is reached, even if it is before the sales deadline.

Back Number will kick off their arena tour “anti sleeps tour 2024” at Ehime Budokan on August 3rd, with 32 shows at 15 locations across the country in a band-battling format, inviting their first guest artist.
