■ “I was thinking about the important person in my life at the time when I was singing this song.” (Ryotachi)
Vocalist Ryo and others from Neguse, a four-member band that has garnered a lot of support mainly from Gen Z and successfully held a solo concert at Nippon Budokan in June, will make their first appearance on “THE FIRST TAKE” (premiere on August 2nd at 10pm).
The song this time is a heartbreak ballad called “Everyday Revolution,” which describes the reality of “ended love” and “everyday life without you” from a woman’s perspective.
The lyrics are so life-sized that they have resonated with young listeners, and the number of streaming plays has exceeded 76 million. This song is also one of Neguse’s representative songs, and it is performed in a one-take special arrangement for “THE FIRST TAKE” with piano and quartet, along with a heart-wrenching singing voice.
■Ryotachi Comments
This is a song that has always supported Neguse. I sang it while thinking a little about the person who was important to me at the time.
And I was the most nervous I’ve ever been in my life.
Rather than a band, we had a piano quartet perform the piece, which I think gives it a different kind of appeal and makes the arrangement blend really well with the song.
