FOD began exclusive distribution of the special program “Masked Choreography Battle Club FES 2024 Summer Complete Edition – Aiba Masaki’s First Serious Dancing in 3 and a Half Years,” which captures the performance and behind-the-scenes footage of “Aiba◎X-bu presents Masked Choreography Battle Club FES,” from 5:00 p.m. on August 3rd.
“Aiba◎X-bu presents Masked Choreography Battle Club FES,” held in June, was the first event for the popular “Masked Choreography Battle Club” segment of the program “Aiba◎X-bu,” which airs every Saturday from 4:30 p.m. on Fuji TV.
Travis Japan and Avant Gardie, a 17-member dance group led by choreographer Akane, put on a fierce battle in front of an audience of over 2,500 people who attended the event.
Travis Japan, whose members each create their own choreography to create their own style, and Avant-Garde, whose 17 members perform in perfect unison, are a must-see as they dye Ado’s classic “Shin-jidai” in their own colors.
Then, there was a sudden surprise, with some people in tears, when Aiba performed a dance performance. While Travis Japan and Avant-Garde were dancing to Travis Japan’s “Yume no Hollywood,” Aiba suddenly appeared on stage, and the venue was shaken by cheers.
In addition, he livened up the event as the show’s host by singing the theme song for “VS Soul” (2021-2023), “New Again! Again and Again!”
It’s been about three and a half years since Aiba last danced in front of an audience, and about two and a half years since he last sang, but why did he decide to take on these challenges? This broadcast program follows the backstage of the event for about a month. It also shows Aiba struggling to dance and sing and perform for the first time in a long time.
