■ “First of all, I want to learn a lot from everyone on the set of ‘Minami-kun is my Lover!?’ and become a rich and kind adult!” (Iinuma Ai)
Iinuma Ai, who plays the main character Horikiri Chiyomi on TV Asahi’s “Minami-kun is My Lover!?” (every Tuesday from 9pm), turned 21 on August 5th, and a surprise birthday ceremony was held on the set of “Minami-kun is My Lover!?”
The scene takes place at the Horikiri household, and includes Iinuma, Takeda Shinji who plays his father Shintaro, Banya Amataka who plays his younger brother Takuma, Kaga Mariko who plays his grandmother Yuriko, also known as “O-Sensei,” and Kimura Yoshino who plays his mother Kaede.
This scene, which was well received in the drama itself, was filmed in a lively atmosphere with the addition of Yusei Yagi (FANTASTICS), who plays Minami-kun. Then, when the filming was cut, Yagi and Takeda brought in a giant cake. The song “Happy Birthday” was played, and the cast and staff gave a big round of applause to “Birthday Girl” Iinuma.
In front of the cake, Iinuma said, “Every year, a year passes so quickly…” Kimura was surprised and said, “Already?!”, and Kaga also said with a wry smile, “It’s a little early… (laughs).” While revealing her hope that “I want to cherish each and every day of my 21st year,” she also spoke strongly of her aspirations, saying, “First of all, I want to learn a lot from everyone on the set of ‘Minami-kun is My Lover!?’ and become a rich and kind adult!”
The next episode, episode 4, of “Minami-kun is My Lover!?” will air on August 13th at 9pm. Episodes 1 to 3 are available for free catch-up streaming on ABEMA and TVer.
