One of Hata Motohiro’s signature songs, “Himawari no Yakusoku,” will celebrate its 10th anniversary since its release on August 6, 2024. To mark this memorable occasion, a live video of “Himawari no Yakusoku” from his first stadium performance, “LIVE AT YOKOHAMA STADIUM -10th Anniversary-,” held on May 4, 2017, has been released for a limited time.

“Himawari no Yakusoku” was released on August 6, 2014 as Hata’s 17th single. Written as the theme song for the 3DCG anime movie “STAND BY ME Doraemon,” this song was created with the theme of “the importance of those around you and what you can do for them.”

In the 10 years since its release, the song has been covered by numerous artists, and continues to be loved by many people, both professional and amateur, including those who sing along to the song on social media and at karaoke. The music video has been viewed over 44 million times, and the total number of streams has exceeded 300 million.
