■Nozomu Kotaki plays the role of Bunshichi, who holds the key to the story!
It has been decided that WEST.’s Kotaki Nozomu will be making a guest appearance in the radio drama “Rakugo Drama Bunshichi Motoyui” on the radio program “Shofutei Tsurube Sunday That” (Nippon Broadcasting System).
In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the launch of Nippon Broadcasting System, “Shoufutei Tsurube Sunday’s That” produced a radio drama called “Rakugo Drama” on the theme of “Rakugo,” one of the traditional Japanese storytelling arts. The radio drama was based on the original script of “Bunshichi Motoyui,” a story of human interest in Rakugo created by San’yutei Encho.
In addition to the show’s regular cast members, Tsurube Shofutei and Masahiko Kamiyanagi, three guests will appear: Nozomu Kotaki, Eri Watanabe, and Keiko Toda.
The protagonist, Chobei, is played by Shofutei Tsurube. His wife, Okane, is played by Watanabe Eri. Furthermore, Yoshiwara’s proprietress, Okoma, is played by Toda Keiko, while Bunshichi, who holds the key to the story, is played by Kotaki Nozomu, and Omiyaya’s owner, Ubei, is played by Kamiyagi Masahiko. Recording took place the other day, with a lineup of such splendid and unique characters, and the scene was heated. An unprecedented radio drama has been completed.
