New stills have been released for the film “We Don’t Know Love,” which is the first starring role for Ryusei Onishi (Naniwa Danshi), who turned 23 on August 7th.
This love story is based on the popular girls’ comic of the same name by Minami Mizuno. It depicts six high school students who, while worrying and sometimes clashing, face their own “true love.”
Onishi plays the main character, Eiji, who prioritizes friendship over love and is unable to express his feelings. In addition, he also plays the theme song “Koisuru Hikari” for the film as part of Naniwa Danshi.
The newly released still image shows Eiji (Onishi) wavering in his feelings of love.
Eiji has had a crush on his childhood friend Izumi since middle school, but he is unable to tell her his feelings when Izumi starts dating his best friend Naohiko (Kubozuka Airu). Meanwhile, Koharu (Saito Nagisa) is attracted to Naohiko and tries to make a strong appeal to him, so Eiji decides to date Koharu in order to separate her from Naohiko.
While hiding his feelings for Izumi, he dates Koharu, and in the process, his romantic feelings waver, and his somewhat fragile and emotional expression can be seen in the stills. Director Sakai, who has worked with Onishi for the fourth time on this film, said that before filming began, he told Onishi to “become Eiji’s best friend.”
