Fan meetings for “Black Pean Season 2” starring Kazunari Ninomiya to be held in Taipei and Seoul

It has been decided that a special fan meeting for the Sunday drama “Black Pean Season 2” (TBS), starring Ninomiya Kazunari, will be held in Taipei and Seoul.

The first and latest episodes of this series are available for free on “TVer” and “TBS FREE”, while all episodes of season 1 are available on “U-NEXT” and “Netflix”. It is also available worldwide on “Netflix”, with distribution starting on July 16th in Asia. It has been well-received not only in Japan but also overseas.

In response to strong requests from the local area, it has been decided that for the first time for a TBS drama, special fan meetings will be held in Taipei and Seoul on September 13th and 14th.

Ninomiya, who plays Amagi Yukihiko, and Takeuchi Ryoma, who plays Sera Masashi, will appear in Taipei, while Ninomiya and Kim Mu-jun, who plays Park Min-jae, will appear in Seoul to talk about the drama’s filming episodes and behind-the-scenes stories. What will Ninomiya talk about at this first drama fan meeting?

The drama reached the halfway point with the fifth episode broadcast the other day, and will finally enter its second chapter with the sixth episode broadcast on August 18th. In the sixth episode, the past of Nekoda Mari, the nurse played by Shuri, which has been shrouded in mystery since season 1, is revealed. The episode also describes her relationship with Tokai Seijiro, the surgeon who was the main character in season 1, and why she decided to leave Ishin University. In addition, the battle for the election of the medical association president between Professor Saeki (Uchino Masaaki) and his rival Professor Sugai (Danda Yasunori) of Ishin University intensifies.

■ Episode 6 Synopsis
Sugai (Danda Yasunori) of Ishin University was aiming to make a comeback in the election for the presidency of the medical association by successfully operating on Uesugi (Sakai Masaaki), the chairman of Japan’s number one automobile manufacturer, Uesugi Motors. The key to the operation is the latest medical robot, Elcano Darwin, which is an evolution of Elcano. It was developed by Reiko Hayakawa (Takiuchi Kumi), a doctor at Ishin University, with the cooperation of Takashina (Koizumi Kotaro) of Tojo University.

Uesugi is in need of Direct Anastomosis, so Sugai proposes using the “world’s best doctor,” Elcano Darwin, to operate on him, but Uesugi tells him to find the best doctor in the world to operate it. And then Amagi (Ninomiya Kazunari) appears. In fact, Sugai had asked Amagi to perform a clinical trial operation to teach Elcano Darwin Direct Anastomosis before Uesugi’s operation, and Amagi agreed after hearing about Chairman Uesugi’s enormous total assets.

Reiko, who came to Tojo University with Sugai and others before the clinical trial, encounters Nekoda (Shuri). In fact, Nekoda was a nurse at Ishin University until eight years ago, but she quit after an incident. Reiko ends up digging up that incident. Furthermore, on the day of the clinical trial, Amagi, seeing the condition of the clinical trial patient, suddenly announces the cancellation of the operation. In the midst of all this, Reiko collapses, clutching her chest…
