Hana Hope has released the music video for her digital single “Summertime Blues,” which was released on August 7th, on her official YouTube channel.

“Summertime Blues” is a summer tune about a fleeting summer love. It was arranged by sound producer TOM, who has worked on arrangements and songs for many artists such as SIRUP, Tokimeki Records, and Miliyah Kato, and was performed by the instrumental band Shappo, consisting of Oto Fukuhara (guitar, etc.) and Yuta Hosono (bass, etc.).

The song has a danceable yet mellow sound and a pleasant mix of Japanese and English, making it a light-hearted tune that will brighten up the scorching hot summer.

The visual creative for this work was provided by “Hypebeast Japan“‘s women’s media “Hypebae JapanProduced by “.

The music video is set in Tokyo and depicts the pure figure of Hana Hope as she grows into an adult, as well as an emotional summer scene that evokes the lyrics of the song. The music video, which has a pop and trippy worldview, was directed by Julie Giesen.

“Summertime Blues” has been selected as a power play for August on J-WAVE’s “SONAR TRAX,” MTV’s “Hot Seat,” and MUSIC ON! TV’s “M-ON! Recommend.” Hana Hope will also hold a two-man live with Abe Fuyumi at WALL & WALL in Tokyo on August 11.
