Kento Yamazaki and JEONGHAN (SEVENTEEN) take an emotional trip to Korea in full off mode

■ In the car driven by JEONGHAN, Yamazaki Kento said, “It feels like we’re on a date.”

Yamazaki Kento (the official spelling of “崎” is “tatsusaki”) and JEONGHAN (SEVENTEEN) miraculously reunite in Korea, and the travelogue “Yamazaki Kento x JEONGHAN Miracle Trip in Korea” in which they talk honestly about their experiences will be broadcast on Nippon TV from 3:30pm on August 18th. It has also been revealed that the series will be available on Hulu (5 episodes in total/new episodes updated every Saturday at 12pm) after the terrestrial broadcast.

Yamazaki Kento, whose latest film “Kingdom: Return of the General” achieved the highest opening record of any live-action Japanese film, has become an indispensable presence in Japanese action blockbusters such as “Golden Kamuy” and “Onmyoji 0.” And then there’s JEONGHAN, who is nicknamed “the angel of SEVENTEEN” for his intellectual beauty and for being a member of SEVENTEEN, a miraculous group formed by fate and consisting of 13 unique members.

The two began their friendship after a fateful encounter at a famous brand show in Berlin in June 2023. Now, they have come to respect each other, with Yamazaki going to see SEVENTEEN’s live shows and JEONGHAN watching movies starring Yamazaki.

“Yamazaki Kento x JEONGHAN: Miracle Trip in Korea” is a precious travelogue that captures the miraculous reunion of two young, globally popular Japanese and Korean stars, as they enjoy Korea in full off mode. The film, which had already been a hot topic on social media with reports of sightings of the pair during filming, begins with the two reuniting. When they see each other, they burst into smiles and hug each other in joy. They then walk together through the atmospheric streets of Korea, taking selfies together, then move to a stylish cafe and spend a relaxing and blissful time reminiscing about their first impressions when they first met.

There is also a scene where Yamazaki, who revealed that she had always wanted to go to Korea, enjoys a drive in a car driven by JEONGHAN. With SEVENTEEN songs selected by Yamazaki playing in the background, the two of them chat about their private lives, and Yamazaki smiles shyly and says that the time he spent with JEONGHAN “feels like a date.”

Furthermore, at JEONGHAN’s suggestion that “I want to try something I don’t usually do,” they try out a Korean-style print club. They disguise themselves using items, take photos laughing with their arms around each other, and show off their off-camera side that you don’t usually see on TV. They also have a passionate and honest conversation over drinks at a shop recommended by JEONGHAN.

The two world-famous stars enjoy a trip to Korea and talk candidly about their present and future, including what they want to accomplish now, their goals for the next 10 years, and what they are aiming for as actors and artists. “Yamazaki Kento x JEONGHAN Miracle Trip in Korea” is a must-see for fans.

Hulu, which will start exclusive distribution after the terrestrial broadcast, will distribute all 5 episodes, packed with footage that unfortunately did not fit into the terrestrial broadcast. Don’t miss the two’s true faces that can only be seen here, having fun together while joking around, such as designing and giving each other T-shirts at a shop where you can make original T-shirts.
