A number of stills from the movie “Maru” starring Tsuyoshi Domoto (released October 18th) have been released.
The stills released this time show Sawada, played by Tsuyoshi Domoto, gradually becoming obsessed with the “circle” as he goes about his daily life as an assistant to a contemporary artist.
Sawada’s daily life involves checking on the ancient fish he keeps at home, cycling to his workplace, and painting as an assistant to a contemporary artist. Yajima, who works in the same workplace as Sawada, played by Yoshioka Riho, casts a sharp gaze at Sawada, who is somewhat reserved but also seems to be trying to appeal to him.
Such daily life changes completely, and “Sawada’s 〇” becomes a social phenomenon, but Yokoyama, an unsuccessful manga artist who lives next door to Sawada’s apartment and is played by Go Ayano, does not know his true identity and approaches Sawada, who he believes to be “the same kind” as him. How will the relationship between the two, who sit side by side at the counter of an izakaya, change due to the influence of 〇?
In addition, there is a scene where Mo, a convenience store clerk played by Morisaki Win, who works with Sawada after he injured his arm and started working part-time at a convenience store, looks worriedly at Sawada as he confronts Yokoyama, as well as a scene of Wakakusa Moeko, an ambitious gallery owner played by Kobayashi Satomi, admonishing Sawada, and Yoshimura, Sawada’s high school classmate played by Oideyasu Oda, pointing a finger at him.It has been revealed that the story will unfold through Sawada’s interactions with the people around him.
On the large rooftop, Sawada draws circles of various sizes and colors. It’s a picture in which one is curious as to where Sawada, trapped by the circles, will end up.
