A scene from the film “The New Normal” (released August 16th), which is the much talked about film marking Choi Ji-woo’s return to the big screen after seven years, has been released, showing Hun, played by Choi Min-ho (SHINee), being led by a mysterious letter.
In Seoul, a series of serial murders targeting only women has been occurring frequently, making headlines. One day, Hyun-jung (Choi Ji-woo), who lives alone in an apartment, is visited by a middle-aged man who says he’s come to check the fire alarm. Hyun-jung feels uneasy when the suspicious man brazenly enters her house. Meanwhile, Hyun-soo (Lee Yoo-mi) is meeting up with someone she matched with on a dating app. However, an unexpected person shows up. The two intersecting events bring about an unexpected outcome…
The released footage shows a scene in which Choi Min-ho plays Hun, a lonely college student looking for a new encounter, who is guided by a mysterious letter. Following the instructions written in the letter, “Take 10 steps through the tunnel,” Hun counts 10 steps from the tunnel’s exit. Then, a dresser with a broken mirror appears in front of him, and another letter appears from inside the drawer. Suspicious, Hun slowly opens the letter and finds a photo of a beautiful woman inside…

The movie “The New Normal” will be giving out limited-edition gifts to moviegoers for two consecutive weeks. In the first week, starting on August 16th, there will be postcards with autographs of the six cast members, featuring their original visuals from their home countries. In the second week, starting on August 23rd, there will be limited-edition original stickers with the theme of the new normal.
