"Fuji Rock '24" after movie released

■”FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’24 Complete Edition” will air on Fuji TV NEXT in September

The aftermovie for “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’24” has been released.

Fuji Rock Festival ’24, held for the 25th time in Naeba, was held over four days starting from the eve of the festival on July 25th, attracting a total of 96,000 spectators.

In addition to live performances by over 200 artists from Japan and abroad, visitors from Japan and abroad can enjoy a variety of activities, such as late-night movie screenings surrounded by trees, a kids’ land where you can play in the forest, and a circus that takes place every night in an area with free admission.

In 2024, the event will be live-streamed for free to the world on Amazon, entertaining many Fuji Rock fans who were unable to make it to Naeba.

■Festival Echo ~2024 Activity Report
Every year, Fuji Rock tries to reduce the environmental impact of the event and is working on various environmental measures for the future of forests. For 2025, they are working on horizontal “bottle-to-bottle” recycling and reducing food waste.

◇ “Bottle to Bottle” Cooperation: Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
The event implemented a “bottle to bottle” horizontal recycling initiative, where plastic bottles collected at the “Zero Waste Station” within the venue were recycled to create new plastic bottles. Visitors were asked to separate the empty plastic bottles, and 3.8 tons of plastic bottles were collected. The collected plastic bottles were processed and turned into raw materials for recycled plastic bottles, and were reborn as beverage containers for beverage manufacturers, including Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which cooperated with the project.

◇Reducing food waste
In response to the fact that a lot of edible food and ingredients are thrown away after the event every year, Fuji Rock 2025, with the cooperation of Yuzawa Town and Minamiuonuma City, will collect surplus food from this year’s participating restaurants after the event and donate about one ton of food and ingredients collected to Food Bank Yuzawa, which provides food support to parents and people and facilities in Niigata Prefecture who need meals, in an effort to reduce waste and food loss. This activity, which allows food that is still edible but would otherwise have to be thrown away because it cannot be frozen, to be given to people in need instead of being thrown away, was well received by the restaurants that cooperated in the donation.
