■ “That guy is crazy…” (Hasegawa from Sisonne), “That was a cue card! I want to make it clear to him” (Yoko Kumada)
The second episode of Kampe Theater’s “Towards a Perfect Future,” which is currently being broadcast on TV Asahi’s “Barabara Monthly” slot, was aired on August 13th.
In the first episode, which aired on August 6th, it was revealed that in addition to the previously announced appearances by Hasegawa Shinobu (Sisonne), Matsukura Kaito (Travis Japan), and Kumada Yoko, Yamazoe Hiroshi (Aiseki Start) and Kunizaki Kazuya (Ranjatai) would also be appearing in the role of “dialogue assistants” in this unique drama.
As the sci-fi drama progresses, there is a scene where the lines were not completed by the shooting date, and Yamazoe and Kunizaki write the lines on the spot on cue cards and control the actors. This unprecedented system of creating a drama through improvisation has become a hot topic on social media. In the second episode, a scene was broadcast in which the actors go wild because of Yamazoe and Kunizaki’s cue cards.
■Kumada Yoko, a passionate assistant applicant, takes on the interview!
The story of the second episode begins with Machii, a genius scientist played by Hasegawa of Sisonne, being told by his son from the future played by Kaito Matsukura of a tragedy that will occur in the future because of Machii’s research into ancient viruses.
While he is struggling with the question of whether he should give up the research he has dedicated his life to, a woman who wants to become an assistant, played by Kumada Yoko, appears. The cue part in this episode where she “didn’t have time to say her lines” is about Kumada Yoko taking an interview.
■Yamazoe Hiroshi and Kunizaki Kazuya’s pranks escalate!
The content was to answer common interview questions such as “What are your strengths and weaknesses?” and “What are your special skills?”, but Yamazoe and Kunizaki’s pranks accelerated, and the contents of the cue cards became increasingly extreme. There were multiple powerful slaps that were hard to believe were part of an interview scene, and at one point Hasegawa’s glasses were significantly misaligned.
Yamazoe and Kunizaki laugh out loud as they give out crazy cue cards. Kumada Yoko forgets how to control her strength while trying to follow their instructions. And Hasegawa gets slapped over and over because of the cue cards of her junior. The four of them are performing in different ways, and you can watch them for free on TVer and ABEMA. The next episode will be broadcast on August 20th at 26:54.
■Comment from Shinobu Hasegawa of Sisonne
That guy is crazy… He’s a very passionate actor. His passion was a bit too much, and my ears were ringing. After it was over, he said “I’m sorry!” but I couldn’t hear him very well.■ Comment from Yoko Kumada
I didn’t have much experience working with a script, so I was nervous, but when I came in, the first scene was one where I was given a cue card, so I thought, “What?” (laughs)
They kept giving me cue cards, so I was just trying to act according to them, but I didn’t expect it to end up like that… If you just look at that part, you might think it was me, but I want to make it clear that it was a cue card!
