BE:FIRST releases dance performance video for NTT Docomo’s “ahamo” commercial song “Blissful”

■The dance incorporates Side Candy and CAT DADDY, which were popular in the 2010s, and the choreography was done by members SOTA and KAITA (Rht.)!

BE:FIRST has released a dance performance video for “Blissful,” the lead track from their second album, “2:BE” (released on August 28th).

“Blissful,” which was released on August 12, is the NTT Docomo “ahamo” CM song. Zen (INIMI)’s simple and comfortable track has a strong mid-2010s hip-hop flavor, and the song sings about how hard and tough the journey has been, and how that’s why it’s so valuable to be able to spend time together with friends who have shared the good times and the bad, and celebrate their successes together.

In today’s society, where the development of social media and the acceleration of communities that incite division have made it commonplace for people to sometimes scorn, belittle, and put down others, this is a song by BE:FIRST that shines with a precious message of self-love, or rather self’s love, in which people improve and recognize each other without comparing themselves to others.

The choreography for this work was done by members SOTA and KAITA (Rht.). It incorporates easy-to-dance moves such as Side Candy and CAT DADDY, which were popular in the 2010s, and is a familiar choreography that only BE:FIRST, who have proven their overwhelming dance skills with “Boom Boom Back,” “Mainstream,” and “Masterplan,” could express convincingly.

The music video for “Blissful,” which was filmed in New York, has already exceeded 1 million views. It has been attracting attention, including being ranked #1 on YouTube’s trending chart and #1 on the list of most popular music.
