NEWS’ Masuda Takahisa goes head-to-head with Daigo on “Chidori Kamaitachi Hour”! The second half of the “If I were a salaryman” showdown airs

■Professionals praise NEWS’ Masuda Takahisa’s “Gap Method” for saving gloomy drinking parties!?

On August 17th, Nippon Television’s “Chidori Kamaitachi Hour” will welcome NEWS as a guest and present the second half of the “If They Were Office Workers, Who Would Be the Most Successful Contest.”

In the first half, Kamaitachi’s Hamada Ryuichi and Kato Shigeaki faced off on the “Encouragement Stage for Subordinates Who Are Thinking About Quitting Their Jobs” stage. While Hamada tried to persuade his subordinate to quit on his own, Kato, who brilliantly motivated his subordinate by repeatedly saying things like “I think it means you still have the talent to grow,” won the match.

In the “Apology Stage to Your Boss When You Make a Mistake” by Kamaitachi’s Yamauchi Kenji and Koyama Keiichiro, Koyama drove his boss into a corner with an excessive compliance appeal, while Yamauchi made a mess of the situation with a self-deprecating performance, resulting in a mud fight that ended in a draw. With one win and one draw, NEWS was in the lead, and the outcome was left to Chidori’s Daigo and Masuda Takahisa in their “Super Difficult Stage to Encourage a Depressed President and Department Head.”

According to Keiichi Sasaki, author of the bestselling book “How You Communicate is 90% of the Time” and judge, the key to livening up a gloomy drinking party is the “gap method,” which is to start with the opposite of what you want to say. Upon hearing this, Masuda confidently said, “I’ve been livening up drinking parties before. It’s my specialty.” As the stage began, Masuda suddenly shouted at the dejected president and general manager, “You’re the worst!” He then vented his feelings as a subordinate to the two, saying, “That’s crazy!”, and showed off his brilliant “gap method” with a sudden positive turn.

Sasaki was surprised by this, saying, “This is the biggest gap I’ve ever seen.” However, Chidori and Kamaitachi pointed out that they “didn’t understand what he was saying.”

Daigo continues, “We can beat that one, right?” With the president and department head looking down, Daigo starts off with the opposite tension to Masuda, saying, “I feel kind of sad.” In order to encourage the president and department head, Daigo compares them to “sad creatures.” He even compares himself to a sad animal in an attempt to bring the three together. Will these killer words prove to be good or bad?

The losing team will have to challenge the “overtime stage” where they will be given tough challenges. Which team will win? Be sure to tune in to find out the outcome of the match.
