REBECCA has announced that she will release her first new song in seven years, as well as live recordings from her tour, “REBECCA NOSTALGIC NEW WORLD TOUR 2024,” on a two-disc CD on October 16th.
On April 21, 2024, the day of the 40th anniversary of her debut, REBECCA announced her first tour in seven years, “REBECCA NOSTALGIC NEW WORLD TOUR 2024.” Tickets for the 13 shows sold out immediately, and even though an additional show was announced in October, tickets were still in high demand, and REBECCA fever is sweeping the Japanese archipelago.
The new songs being performed on the tour were released on July 7th and have been well-received, and now it has been decided that they will be released on CD. The two songs being performed on the tour are “Ashi Deke Tobase” and “Daisy Chain”, but the Christmas song “New World” with a REBECCA taste is added to these for three new songs, and rearrangements of REBECCA’s many songs by Akio Tsuchihashi (key) as “SMILE warm up ver.”, “Cotton Time interlude ver.”, and “Little Darling interlude ver.” are included. The content, which is made up of new songs and rearranged versions of existing songs, truly expresses a worldview where “NOSTALGIC” and “NEW WORLD” coexist.
In addition, a live album containing excerpts from the live recordings from the concert at Omiya Sonic City on August 17th and 18th will also be added, making the release a two-disc set.
