&TEAM’s FUMA, YUMA, and HARUA will be making their first appearance on “Quiz! Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?”, which will be broadcast on Nippon Television from 7pm on August 23rd.
“Quiz! Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” asks questions from elementary school textbooks and reference books. If contestants answer 11 questions in a row correctly, they can win a prize of 3 million yen.
&TEAM debuted through an audition program in December 2022, and their second single, “Aoarashi,” released in August, reached number one on both the Oricon weekly single ranking and the Billboard JAPAN weekly single sales chart, as well as number one on the J-POP charts in 25 countries and regions around the world, making them extremely popular both domestically and internationally.
This is the first time for FUMA, YUMA, and HARUA to appear on a quiz show, but HARUA is actually a big fan of “Ko5 Quiz” and watches it every week, and volunteered to appear on the show herself. She knows the trends and strategies for this show better than anyone else. She also joins forces with her reliable older brothers, FUMA and YUMA, to try to get all the questions right on their first quiz show.
What will be the outcome of the three’s serious battle in this ultra-pressure quiz show?
Also appearing on the show that day was Sunshine Ikezaki, an intellectual comedian who graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Oita University, who had suffered the humiliation of being eliminated on the second question without using any rescue moves in the previous challenge, making a comeback. Also appearing was a duo consisting of MC Sato Ryuta’s best friends, Okada Yoshinori and Tsukamoto Takashi, who have been good friends with him for 22 years since they co-starred in “Kisarazu Cat’s Eye.”
