King & Prince's Ren Nagase will be appearing as a voice actor in the anime film "Touch.", and six new stills have been released

Six new stills from the original animated feature film “Touch.”, which will be released on October 14th, have been released. The stills released this time show the current state of Aki, Ryo, and Yuta, as well as scenes showing the life of the three characters at the center of the story.

Onoda Aki, played by Nagase Ren (King & Prince), works part-time at a bar, Sobue Ryo, played by Bando Ryuta, is a recent graduate employee at a real estate company, and Inohara Yuta, played by Maeda Kentaro, is a fashion student aspiring to be a designer. Now at the age of 20, the three are each pursuing different career paths.

They have different hobbies and personalities; Aki is not very good at talking and has had a tendency to use his hands first since he was young, but he is caring towards his friends; Ryo is athletic and acts like an older brother to Aki and Yuta; and Yuta has many complexes and can be a bit servile at times.

The three of them left the island and started living together in Takadanobaba, Tokyo with a strange creature named “Fureru” that they brought back from the island. While each of them strives in their own way, they take care of “Fureru”, share the housework, and eat meals cooked by Aki, who loves to cook. They live happily under the same roof.

Regarding this film, Nagase said, “It’s a work that makes you think again about the importance of communication and the connections we have with people in our daily lives, and is one that I would recommend to people of all ages and generations to see now,” while Bando said, “It’s a story that makes you think again about how we connect with people and our relationships.”

As Maeda says, “We all laughed and got emotional during the recording, and worked hard together,” the interaction between the three actors, who act as if they’d been best friends since childhood, is also worth watching.

■The theme song “Monotone” sung by YOASOBI will be released on CD!
The theme song “Monotone” sung by YOASOBI, who is performing a theme song for an anime movie for the first time, will be released on CD on October 2nd.

“Monotone” is a song based on the novel “Tsuru no Zenya” written by Mari Okada, who also wrote the screenplay for the movie. The CD is a picture book-style booklet with a motif of a book of legends about the mysterious creature “Tsuru” that appears in the movie, and the illustration for the jacket is a new drawing by the official movie artist. The movie novel “Tsuru no Zenya” will also be included.
