AKB48 Yamauchi Mizuki's first photo book "Suki ni Naru Yokan" to be released! Advance shots of her in lingerie and more released

AKB48 member Yamauchi Mizuki will release her first photo book, “Suki ni Naru Yokan,” to celebrate her 23rd birthday, on October 11th. The preview cuts from the book have been released early.

Yamauchi (nicknamed Zukki) served as the center for AKB48’s 57th single, “Thank You for the Heartbreak” (released in March 2020), and has always been active at the forefront as a front member.

Yamauchi will be turning 23 on September 20, 2024. This book is packed with her charms, including not only the cuteness that is typical of a traditional idol, but also her slightly more mature expressions.

The filming took place in Phuket, Thailand, which Yamauchi visited for the first time. It was shot in places such as Patong Beach, where you can see the ocean stretching to the horizon, and Old Town, where Portuguese, Dutch, and Chinese cultures blend together and are dotted with Sino-Portuguese style buildings that exude a nostalgic atmosphere.

The themes for each shot in this photobook were suggested by Yamauchi herself. The outfits were selected to fit themes such as “wrapped in a futon,” “boyfriend shirt style,” “girlfriend vibe,” “full of vitamin energy,” “eating out,” “summer one-piece,” “tulle dress,” “sparkly Korean idol style,” and “bubble bath.” Each outfit was chosen from a large number of candidates, and after multiple fittings, Yamauchi herself chose the outfits that she thought were “all cute.”

She is seen walking around Old Town in a short red top and long skirt, wearing a mint green babydoll, a K-POP-style black outfit, and even trying her hand at swimsuit and lingerie photo shoots for the first time in her life.

She showed off a variety of looks that were unimaginable from her before, including a yellow and pink swimsuit, which is the colour of her penlight (Yamauchi’s favourite colour), which she said she really wanted to wear, and pure white lingerie, which she posed for with a smile.

In response to her request to “include many shots of her smiling,” there are many scenes of her smiling throughout the book.

In addition, the book will feature a newly written essay in which Yamauchi honestly expresses his current feelings, as well as a long interview.
