■ Broadcast on TBS Channel 1 from 21:00 to 23:45 on Sunday, August 25th
The final performance of SEVENTEEN’s first stadium tour, “SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’ AGAIN TO JAPAN,” held at Nissan Stadium on May 26th will be broadcast on television for the first time exclusively on TBS Channel 1 on August 25th.
SEVENTEEN successfully completed their largest dome tour in December 2023. About five months later, they chose Nissan Stadium, the largest venue in SEVENTEEN’s history, as the final stop for their additional performances. This was an unusual solo concert for a foreign artist, and a total of 144,000 people gathered at Nissan Stadium on May 25th and 26th. In particular, the final performance on the 26th was the 9th anniversary of their debut, and it was deeply moving to see all the members standing at Nissan Stadium, which had been their dream, on this special day, and all of them exploded with joy from the opening greeting.
“Everyone, SEVENTEEN has finally come to Nissan Stadium. Yay! I’m so happy that we can be together on this big stage with CARATs (the name for SEVENTEEN fans) from all over the world on this 9th anniversary day. Thank you, CARATs. I’m going to use all the energy I have left, so let’s have a great time!”
As their words suggest, the final performance was an overwhelmingly passionate and unprecedented performance. With the grandiose production and the first live band session overflowing with realism, the performance of songs such as “Super”, “DON QUIXOTE”, and “CLAP” by all members was out of the ordinary, doubling the excitement of the stadium live.
The tour is also a hot topic as it will feature the first performance of unit songs from the 11th mini-album “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN,” which set a record for the highest initial sales of any K-POP album of all time. The vocal team “Yawn,” whose crystal clear voice touches the heart, the performance team “Back 2 Back,” who captivates with their dynamic and sexy dance, and the hip-hop team “Monster,” who perfectly express a mysterious mood and create a stage like a scene from a movie, will also be attracting attention for their diverse staging, which will fully demonstrate the high potential of each member.
The ballad “All My Love-Japanese ver.-“, which was delivered with great love on the special day of their 9th anniversary, ended with deputy leader JEONGHAN spreading his arms wide while singing in a gentle voice, “I’ll protect you. Always,” and his gesture as if to embrace the audience erupted in cheers, and some CARATs were seen crying.
Towards the end of the main performance, the funky soul-infused “God of Music” was the most exciting part of the day. When the members urged, “Nissan Stadium, Every Body JUMP!!”, CARAT responded to the performance on stage by jumping up and down. Then, they performed “MAESTRO”, the title song of their best album “17 IS RIGHT HERE”, which achieved “triple million sales”, for the first time on the tour. With the conductor in control, the ultra-fast steps that unfolded to the intense sound were overwhelming and drew huge cheers.
Befitting such a memorable day, SEVENTEEN and CARAT were at full throttle until the very end, sharing their gratitude and boundless love for each other. Be sure to etch the final performance at Nissan Stadium into your heart as they shared the best moments together and created unforgettable memories, making it a special and irreplaceable day through the broadcast on TBS Channel.
