Drama tunes! "Hoshikuzu Telepath", AKB48 cast released all at once

Drama Chooses will be aired on TV Tokyo from June 25th! “Hoshikuzu Telepath” (every Tuesday from 24:30) will be broadcast.

The original work is “K-ON! The popular girls’ comic “Hoshikuzu Telepath” (Rasuko Okuma) is currently being serialized in Houbunsha’s 4-panel manga magazine “Manga Time Kirara”, which is known for the “Hoshikuzu Telepath” series, and will be made into a TV anime in 2023. This is TV Tokyo’s first collaboration with the same magazine since the “Yuru Camp△” series starring Haruka Fukuhara, and the story follows the story of the protagonist, a high school girl who suffers from extreme anxiety and has trouble communicating with others, as she meets a new alien student and builds a rocket. It depicts a magnificent and delicate “young girl group drama” that travels through space as they grow up.

Also, AKB48 will be participating in this work, which will be the first collaboration with a TV Tokyo drama since the “Majisuka Gakuen” series. A total of 16 cast members selected through auditions have now been announced.

The lead actor started his activities as a 17th generation member in May 2022, and was selected as the title song member for 5 consecutive AKB48 songs from the 60th single released in October of the same year to the 64th single released on July 17, 2024. Yuu Akeuchi, who I will be playing, is an alien, but I felt that her bright personality and her straightforwardness were similar to mine, so I decided to play her by making use of the loudness and brightness of her voice. I came across “Hoshikuzu Telepath” when I auditioned for a drama, and after watching all of them, the character I liked the most was Shun Kaminarimon. That’s because Shun-chan is similar to me in some ways, and she’s not very good at interacting with people, so there were many scenes where I empathized with her from that point of view, and I became a fan of Shun-chan. So when Shun-chan was chosen, I was filled with great joy. The illustrations in this work are simply cute and soothing just by looking at them, and at first I thought it was a mysterious story with aliens appearing and people aiming for space. However, as you read on, you will find that each character has their own problems, find characters that are similar to you in some way, and relate to their feelings, and as you watch the main characters grow, we become more and more involved. I thought there might be something I could learn from it too. I have appeared in dramas and movies several times, but this is my first time working on a live-action adaptation of an anime or manga, so I’m nervous.
