■Yukino’s (Nakamura) ex-boyfriend appears in front of Aoshima (Watanabe)!
The sixth episode of TV Asahi’s Oshidora Saturday drama “Aoshima-kun is mean,” starring Watanabe Shota (Snow Man) and Nakamura Anne, will be broadcast from 11pm on August 24th.
The number of views for the first episode of the show that was missed was a new record for the Oshidora slot (calculated by Video Research, period: July 7th to July 13th). Every episode since the second episode has been ranked number one on TVer’s overall rankings, and the cumulative number of views for episodes 1 to 5 has exceeded 12.8 million (calculated by Video Research, period: July 7th to August 22nd). This classic romantic comedy, which has been delivering the hottest and most heart-fluttering moments this summer, is finally in the middle of its run.
Aoshima, a 26-year-old fasting guy, and Yukino, a 35-year-old dried fish girl – these two, who are not good at love, finally get together, and the “Couple Edition” finally starts from the 6th episode broadcast on August 24th. Aoshima, who has fallen in love seriously for the first time, goes straight for Yukino, saying, “I want to see you again today,” and “Can I come over (to your house) again today?” Yukino, who had been out of love for a long time, sees Aoshima’s face when he wakes up and writhes, “He’s so cute…!” The two start a passionate love that is so happy that it makes her feel anxious, but gradually something strange happens to Yukino. Yukino, who had been enjoying her time alone freely until now, begins to show signs of fatigue.
Of course, she likes Aoshima, and she wants to see him and be with him. But… “What would Aoshima think if I said, ‘I want some time alone,'” she says, knowing that this is a luxury problem, but when she sees Aoshima’s smile, she can’t say anything… Seeing Rika (Akimoto Manatsu) getting annoyed because she can’t see her boyfriend, she wonders if this is the difference in values about love between the nine-year age difference… Yukino can’t hide her confusion at being in love for the first time in a long time.
Meanwhile, Yukino’s ex-boyfriend and colleague, Masaya Fujiwara (Mitsuomi Takahashi), shows up at the Osaka branch of Cat Beverage. It seems that Fujiwara is going on a short business trip to work on a joint project for a new product, Black Strong.
As soon as the “Couple Edition” began, Yukino’s “current boyfriend” Aoshima was faced with the appearance of her “ex-boyfriend” Fujiwara, who is in some ways the strongest rival. And when Yukino and Fujiwara seem to be having a fun conversation, Aoshima’s flames of jealousy begin to burn…? There is a strong feeling that something turbulent is going to happen in the sixth episode, which will be broadcast on August 24th.
■ Episode 6 Synopsis
Yukino Katsuragi (Anne Nakamura), a general affairs employee at the beverage manufacturer Cat Beverage, misses her meeting with her younger boyfriend Mizuki Aoshima (Shota Watanabe), and returns home dejected, thinking, “Love is just not for me after all.” Then, Aoshima is waiting for her in front of her apartment building… While unable to contact Yukino, who left her smartphone at the office, Aoshima realizes that Yukino is the first person he has ever had fun with and wanted to see again. When Aoshima asks Yukino, “Isn’t this love?”, Yukino again tries to deceive him by using the age difference as an excuse. However, when he says, “How do you feel, Yukino? If you answer without deceiving me, I’ll go home right away,” Yukino can’t help but mutter, “Don’t go home…” Then, Aoshima smiles gently and says, “This might be the first time I’ve ever felt this happy.”
“I thought something like this would never happen again. I want to believe it again…” The two wake up together and enter the climax of a scary happy romance. Aoshima, who has fallen in love for the first time, comes to Yukino’s apartment every day saying, “I want to be with you always.” They drink their favorite alcohol together, eat home-cooked meals, stay over… and are filled with happiness. But one day, something strange happens to Yukino, the recipient of Aoshima’s honest love…? What’s more, a love rival appears for Aoshima.
