WaNuka’s new song “Love Toxin” has been chosen as the opening theme for the drama “Doku Koi ~Doku mo Sugireba Koi ni Naru~” starring Shogo Hama and Koukai Hyodo.

■ “I’m looking forward to seeing it play out in this wonderful drama.”

Wanuka’s “Love Toxin” has been chosen as the opening theme for the drama “Doku Koi ~ Doku mo Sugireba Koi ni Naru ~” (TBS), which begins on September 17th.

This is a boys’ love comedy about a genius lawyer, Shiba Ryouma, played by Hama Shogo, and a genius con man, Haruto, played by Hyodo Kokai, who meet and begin living together through an unexpected turn of events.

The opening theme “Lovetoxin” was created based on the proverb “Too much medicine can become poison” which is part of the film’s title, “Too much poison can become love,” and expands on the idea that “the right balance is important.”

It’s a peaceful, danceable song that uses instruments like the sitar to create a folk music atmosphere, and it has an addictive sound with a retro, pop yet unique melody line that sings about the feelings of unexpectedly falling in love.

The song is a fitting opening theme for a pop and fun romantic comedy, as it directly reflects the plot of the drama in which the heart of the normally guarded Shina is poisoned and captivated by Haruto, and she unexpectedly falls in love.

I am very honored to be in charge of the theme song. I was very happy to spend time thinking about what kind of music to add while reading the script. I am looking forward to hearing it play in this wonderful drama. As a viewer, I can’t wait to watch the drama. Thank you.
