Chanmina has released the music video for her new song “NG.”

“NG” is a work that expresses a rebellious spirit against the constant telling of “NO” by society about her appearance and voice.

At the same time as the song was released on August 9th, ChanMina’s official YouTube channel was hijacked to “NG” mode, with multiple music videos and live footage thumbnails marked with red Xs. Fans were excited by the unusual sight, saying, “The music video thumbnails are covered in red Xs! I’m so excited!!!” This led to a trend among fans to mark their own social media icons with red Xs as well.

Prior to the release of the music video, three teaser videos were released, attracting attention from fans around the world, with comments such as, “I’m really looking forward to this, it feels like this is the most detailed production ever,” and “I can’t wait! You are my favorite solo artist keep it up! Support from France.”

The filming took place in Korea, accompanied by actors and staff from Japan. The director was Kim Yong-jo, who has also worked on videos for TWICE and ITZY, and this was their first collaboration.

Chanmina, who performed on the Marine Stage for the first time at “SUMMER SONIC 2024” and became a trending member of X in Japan, is also the theme song for “No No Girls,” a girl group audition project for which she is the first producer.
