Snow Man’s Sakuma Daisuke makes a guest appearance in the movie “We Don’t Know Love” starring Naniwa Danshi’s Onishi Ryusei

■Sakuma will be appearing as a “food stall guy” at the fireworks festival!

It has been announced that Snow Man’s Sakuma Daisuke will be appearing as a secret guest in the currently-showing movie “We Don’t Know Love,” starring Onishi Ryusei (Naniwa Danshi).

The original work is the super popular girls’ comic “Love is Unknown to Us” by Minami Mizuno, who also wrote “Rainbow Days” and “Welcome to Aoharu House,” and has sold over 1.2 million copies. It is a love story that depicts six high school students who worry and sometimes clash, but still face their own “true love.” Sakuma, who is a big fan of the original work, made a guest appearance.

Sakuma passionately plays the role of a “food stall owner” in the fireworks festival scene, which captures Eiji (Onishi), Naohiko (Kubota), Koharu (Saito), and Izumi (Riko) enjoying the festival. After filming, Sakuma said, “It was my first time playing a food stall owner, but I tried to incorporate all of the ideals that were in the back of everyone’s mind into the costume,” and revealed that he chose the costume himself in consultation with a stylist. “When it comes to festivals, I have the image of a ‘food stall owner,’ so (I chose that).” He also confidently commented, “I’d only been a food stall owner for three hours, but I got a little too into it (laughs).”

Sakuma, a big fan of the original work, said, “There is definitely at least one person who can sympathize with the story. It’s a work like that, so if there is a child you can relate to, you’ll want to encourage them.” He appealed to the appeal of the work, saying, “I hope that people will watch this work and feel how to deal with people and how to show love.”

Regarding Sakuma’s appearance, the original author, Mizuno Minami, also commented, “Sakuma has been reading ‘Koi Boku’ for a while now, and when it was decided to make a movie, I was talking about it as a dream with my editor, saying, ‘It would be great if Sakuma appeared in it too.’ And now, to my surprise… it has become a reality!” She was delighted with Sakuma’s appearance, with whom she has had a long-standing relationship.

Sakuma’s appearance, which was not announced until the movie’s release, sparked a flurry of surprised comments on social media. A member of the audience who saw the movie at the cinema on the opening day of the film on August 23rd wrote, “My friend and I were surprised when Sakuma appeared!!” and “I was surprised to see Sakuma,” and fans who read it started making a big fuss, saying, “Sakuma is in Koi Boku!?” and “It’s amazing that Sakuma is in it, I want to go see Koi Boku.”

At first, Sakuma only commented on a post by the original author, Minami Mizuno, expressing her joy at the release of the film on X, saying, “Congratulations on the release (^^)”, but on the same night, Sakuma himself also posted on his own X, “Sakuma is making a guest appearance in the film “We Don’t Know Love”, which is being released today. The guest appearance is by the original author, Minami Mizuno (^^)”, and the post quickly went viral. It was also mentioned that it was only Sakuma’s love for the original work that made him appear, and many fans sent messages of joy and congratulations.

How will the food stall owner played by Sakuma help the romance between Eiji, played by Ryusei Onishi, and his friends? Keep an eye out for the scenes featuring Sakuma, and look forward to the summer festival scene where the complicated love story between Eiji, Naohiko, Izumi, and Koharu begins to take shape.

■ Comment from Daisuke Sakuma (Snow Man)
The work “We Don’t Know Love” is a story about a love triangle between six people.
There is sure to be at least one person who can empathize with the story. It’s a work like that, so if you see a child who you can relate to, you’ll want to encourage them. It’s a wonderful work that can make you feel that way.
I hope that people will come into contact with this work and feel how to interact with people and show love.

■ Comment from Minami Mizuno (original author)
Sakuma-san had been reading “Koi Boku” for a while, and when it was decided to make a movie, I was talking to my editor about my dreams, saying “It would be great if Sakuma-san appeared in it too.” And now… it has become a reality!
I’m sure there are many people who have already been surprised when they saw Sakuma at the theater.
I was equally surprised.
I am truly honored that he has agreed to make a special appearance despite his busy schedule and with consideration for the original work regarding his role.
Be sure to check out the movie theater to see how the bright and energetic Sakuma performs!
