iri's new song "Swamp," the theme song for the drama "Sky Castle," will premiere its music video

The music video for iri’s new song “Swamp,” the theme song for the currently airing hit drama “Sky Castle,” will premiere on YouTube at 10pm on August 29th.

This music video was produced by teaming up with Takuto Shinbo, who also directed iri’s signature song “Wonderland,” for the first time in about five and a half years. Set in a house, iri appears giant, the sofa starts moving, and even flies in the sky. The music video is unrealistic, with a mysterious situation where reality and illusion intertwine, which is in keeping with the worldview of the song’s lyrics.

Along with this information release, a teaser video for the music video was also released on iri’s various SNS accounts. It gives an early glimpse into the world of the music video. Check out the teaser and look forward to the premiere on August 29th.

The drama “Sky Castle” is a shocking work that will definitely make you fall in love with it, depicting the slushy battle between beautiful celebrity wives who, despite their elegant appearances, have burning ambitions, fierce vanity and pride, and…secrets that they can’t tell anyone about. This work brings together a luxurious cast of five female actors, including Nao Matsushita, Fumino Kimura, Manami Higa, Maryjun Takahashi, and Yukie Nakama. After a mysterious accident, the story unfolds in a series of thrilling and unexpected twists, making it an “unpredictable, dazzling, and slushy suspense mystery.”

This is the first time that iri has worked on a theme song for a terrestrial TV drama. “Swamp” is a song that iri wrote specifically for this tie-up after watching the original manga, and was produced in collaboration with ESME MORI, the sound producer of iri’s signature song “Wonderland.” The title was chosen with the hope that the song would “swamp” viewers, in keeping with the worldview of the drama. The song features an impressive intro of strings and distorted guitar, and is a new type of sound production challenge for iri.
