Natori & imase release music video for their first collaboration song “Melodrama”

■”Melodrama” is the theme song for the Nissan 90th Anniversary Movie “NISSAN LOVE STORY”, which was produced to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.

Natori and imase’s first collaboration song “Melodrama” was released digitally on August 30th. The music video for the song was then released.

This song is the theme song for the Nissan 90th Anniversary Movie “NISSAN LOVE STORY”, which was produced to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. The currently released movie is also attracting attention.

The song “Melodrama” was written and composed by Natori and Imase, who have been friends for a long time, making this a long-awaited collaboration. It has a nostalgic, retro-pop sound that you’ll want to listen to while driving, and Natori and Imase’s pleasant singing voices match the web movie. Shin Sakiura, an up-and-coming music creator, is involved in the arrangement.

Imase made a surprise appearance on the Natori stage at “ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2024” held on August 11th, and debuted “Melodrama” to great cheers. Many people have been eagerly awaiting the release.

The music video for “Melodrama” was produced by Kouko (emma), the video director who also worked on Natori’s “Friday Night” and “Absolute Zero”. It was drawn by illustrator San’ichi-o-kyufu with a modern retro texture, and Natori and Imase appear in animation in the video, with the video unfolding from the driver’s seat point of view.
